Join us at Le Blaireau, our French bar and bistro for an evening celebrating French culture and the infamous storming of the Bastille.
On July 14, 1789, troops stormed the Bastille, the medieval fortress and prison in Paris. Associated with the harsh rule of the Bourbon monarchy in the late 1700s, the storming of the Bastille was a pivotal event at the beginning of the French Revolution. Fête de la Fédération was the on held on July 14, 1790. as a way to celebrate the establishment of a constitutional monarchy in France.
Today, Parisians celebrate this national holiday with a grand military parade up the Champs Elysée, colorful arts festivals, and raucous parties marking the holiday. Uncork a bottle of wine and join the celebration here at Le Blaireau Bar & Bisto, New Forest.
